The Barns at Wing in Rutland offer 4 Fishing Lodges and Cottages which are an ideal base for trout fishing on Rutland Water (5 minutes away) or Eyebrook Reservoir (15 minutes away). Coarse fishing is also available within half a mile. Or simply enjoy the beautiful countryside of the smallest county which awaits you with a warm and friendly welcome.

Stamford (approx 10½ miles), renown for it's beautiful architecture, has many interesting places to visit - one being the historic Burghley House. Just outside of Stamford you will find Tolethorpe Hall with its Shakespeare Theatre.

The small market town of Oakham (approx 5 miles) also has many places of interest, such as the Castle which is famous for it's collection of horseshoes and the Museum which houses a wealth of local history.

Uppingham (approx 3 Miles) is another small market town well worth a visit.

Rutland Water offers a variety of outdoor activities including;

  • Cycling, with 25 miles of traffic free track and cycle hire (if required) is available from Whitwell and Normanton car parks
